Sue Rizzello has more than 30 years’ experience helping organisations of all sizes to communicate their ideas and formulate effective strategic marketing plans.
She has worked with blue chip commercial organisations, SMEs and start-ups at a national and EMEA level. Sue has helped many entrepreneurs and leaders of growing product, app and service businesses to build their visibility, develop authority, create thought leadership, and strengthen marketing strategies on the road to success. Her interest has centred on technology and innovation, widening to incorporate industries as diverse as finance, construction, retail and the arts.
Her early years were spent in agencies including The Rowland Company and Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, where she led the award–winning global industry launch of Bluetooth, and launched the DVD and the Internet Advertising Bureau in Europe. She spent four years as EMEA marketing director for global telecommunications giant Nortel, driving exponential increases in PR results and establishing new marketing processes; she drove communication around the rollout of 3G and optical networks, and was responsible for government and EU relations. Latterly, she orchestrated internal and external communications around a major change programme as the company underwent restructuring impacting tens of thousands of employees, calling on her earlier experience in the BP change team.
For the past ten years she has been an independent consultant. She is a prolific writer and developer of digital and social content ranging from leadership articles on technical and business topic, to social graphics and video animations. Sue devotes much of her time to strategic marketing consulting and training. She has trained senior executives and regional leaders in personal communication skills and with organisational challenges such as marketing function development, digital content strategy, and social marketing. She also delivers a range of advanced communications strategy courses to international businesses, governments, NGOs and public sector organisations. Sue is based in London.
